Tailor a CV to the role

    Short answer

You need more than a direct translation. Choose the destination country, check the vacancy language and explain your career through concrete tasks. Keep original job and qualification titles with clear descriptions. Start with the role, rather than choosing a new CV template.

    Choose your destination

Destination, interface language and document language are separate choices. Country guides explain local terminology; the vacancy determines your documents.

Explain the role, not only its title

“Operations Executive – coordinated customer enquiries and schedules for two teams, Kraków, Poland” is easier to understand than a title alone. The explanation does not replace the original title.

Be precise about qualifications and language

State the original qualification title, institution and country. Describe language proficiency honestly. A German application does not establish fluent German.

    Keep relocation and availability specific

State a planned location or start date only when accurate. Use the responsible official bodies for questions about recognition or permission to work in the specific country and profession.
